Your TV turns on over a feature called HDMI-CEC. It's on by default on most TVs, but if yours didn't wake, enable it once in your TV's settings. Manufacturers rename it:
Samsung — Anynet+
LG — SIMPLINK
Sony — BRAVIA Sync
Vizio / TCL / Hisense — CEC
Once it's on, PetView can power your TV on from anywhere. Either way, you can always turn the TV on with your normal remote.
