Why we built PetView TV
At PetView TV, our pets are family — and no one in the family should feel alone.
We know the small ache of leaving them behind: the look at the door, the quiet wondering all day if they're okay. And we know their lives are so much shorter than ours — that the years we get are precious, and we don't want a single day of them to feel lonely.
PetView TV keeps you connected to your pet when you can't be there. It turns an empty, silent house into one with a little life and light in it — something to watch, something familiar — and it lets you reach across the distance and start it with a tap, from wherever you are. Because being apart is part of life. Feeling alone doesn't have to be.
PetView TV began with a Pomeranian named Jordan, who we lost in 2024. She was family, and she's the reason for all of this. This one's for you, sweet girl — and for every pet who deserves a little more company, and a little less alone. 🐾
What PetView TV does
- Curated picks to start from. Birds, aquariums, rainforests, cozy fireplaces — hand-picked so you're not hunting for something calming. PetView TV doesn't host any of it; the videos play through free apps like YouTube and Tubi, right on your TV.
- Play any show, from the apps you already have. Pick a specific title from popular apps — Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Paramount+, YouTube, and Tubi. For the paid apps you just sign in with your own subscription, and if you'd rather not pay for a service, YouTube and Tubi are free — no subscription needed to get started. The app walks you through adding a new favorite step by step, so it takes under a minute.
- Playlists that run themselves. Line up hours of content that auto-advances — no one has to touch the remote.
- Turn the TV on and off from your phone. From the couch or from across town. Works on most TVs — it uses HDMI-CEC, which is on by default on many sets and takes one setting to enable on the rest.
- Schedule it. Pick the days and times you head out, and PetView TV starts and stops on its own.

Questions people ask
Do I need a Netflix or Disney+ subscription?
No. PetView TV works with whatever apps are already on your TV — and YouTube and Tubi are free, so you can start without paying for any streaming service.
Will my pet actually watch TV?
Many do. Dogs see modern screens much the way we do and recognize other animals on them. It isn't magic and it won't replace you — but a house with something familiar playing is easier than a silent one.
Do you charge me during the free trial?
No. We don't ask for a card to start, and nothing is charged during your 7 days. You only pay if you decide to pick a plan afterward.
Which TVs does it work with?
Amazon Fire TV and Google TV devices. Turning the TV on and off uses a feature called HDMI-CEC, which most TVs support — your TV maker may call it Anynet+, SIMPLINK, or BRAVIA Sync.
Can I cancel easily?
Yes — a couple of taps in the app. No email, no phone call. You can also delete your account and everything we store about you whenever you want.
